  • Description: A blanket is a comfort, a universal symbol. And when part of your family is gone, fighting in a far off place, falling asleep can be difficult with worry. Our Fallen Soldier is an amazing organization led by Kelley Luisi. Finding a story for this contest was not a problem as this incredible organization came to my mind. I had already started helping with the task of making blankets to help military families cope through the loved members they have lost. Along the way we learned more about this group of people helping than we knew there really was. Anyone can help Kelley, and through her own pain she helped others who also lost a beloved husband, wife, daddy, or mommy. Even a cousin, aunt, uncle, or anyone else who were lost in Iraq can be helped by the love of Our Fallen Soldier. Wounded warriors are also taken care of by the money raised from the non-profit organization. Our Fallen Soldier is only one of the many people and groups that truly show that ?Support our Troops? is no longer a slogan: It?s an action
